Who ever thought that children with cancer would be the ones to lift us from our existential funk? Their wisdom--simple and personal, yet profound and universal--helps us circumnavigate these perplexing times and, fortunately, you don't have to walk in their hospital slippers to benefit.

Get on board for a full-throttle attack on a three-day weekend in which we do a bit of writing — on a train. We traveled from Flagstaff to Las Vegas. (That is, Las Vegas, New Mexico.)
We spent three days traveling and writing, thinking about traveling and writing, and documenting the process of traveling and of writing and thinking, resulting in this book of short stories. You will witness trains and psychos, love and hypocrisy, voodoo and poetry, debauchery, three-chord rock-n-roll and green chili everything.
Whether you're a writer, a fan of trains, or just love a good story that goes off the rails, Writing on a Train is for you.
Alyson Zinni, the class valedictorian-turned-Sudoku-junkie, is out of rehab and in search of a cause. Meanwhile, high school golden-boy, Brain “Bull” Mastiff, is in a downward spiral and doesn't know where he fits in. He's not a geek, freak, goth, skater, hater or Hilton--and he's sure as hell no yabo. Bull hears of a real estate inheritance and hopes it signals a rebound, however, a bad luck desert ghost town is not what he anticipates--and nothing says gloom and doomsday like Two Guns, Arizona.
When the Four Pink Jeepsters of the Apocalypse kidnap Ally, it’s up to Bull to save her. But not until he's done battling Armageddon, a three-headed Chihuahua on steroids, and his inner demons.
Sometimes it takes a near-apocalypse to bring people together.

Meet Bob . . .
Bob Wallass has worked as a morning drive deejay, a registered nurse and a door-to-door air freshener salesman. He is a camp counselor, a podcaster and a novelist.
Wallass spent time as a foreign dignitary to Yap (one of the Federated States of Micronesia), is a classically trained cellist and best friend to Keith Richards. He has impeccable table manners, makes the world's best cordon bleu, is fluent in six dead languages and can do simple math in his head.
Bob resides amongst the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona, where he harnesses the energy of the local vortexes, bottles and sells it to tourists along the roadside.
For the record, Bob Wallass is a bit of a yabo and, on occasion, has been know to make stuff up.
